New Theme!

So I am in the process of creating a new theme for myself. I've been working on the concept for a bit now and still haven't quite got the mechanics down yet. However, while I'm working on this theme, I need something up on my site other than Garland. That is not to say that Garland isn't a good theme. The Drupal team wouldn't have chosen something to be default if it weren't good. :) But it is not for me. So I found this site called Free CSS Templates, picked a theme I liked (MyKindaThing) and got to work. I am running Drupal 6 so theming is a bit easier than with 5, provided of course that I know a bit about CSS and XHTML and have read all the prudent resources.

More to come very shortly... I'm running Windows on my laptop for a job that requires it, and I'm used to Linux. For whatever reason, Windows at some point stops letting me use my "Tab" and "Enter" keys when entering text. So it's time to reboot.

Ok! I'm back! So, I Drupal-ified this theme, which I'm really liking. I need to override a few more templates in order to feel confident enough to submit it to Drupal.org and call myself a themer on my profile there... but for my purposes, and for anyone coming to my site, I'm sure it does just fine.

Unfortunately, in my restart and attempt to remember what I wanted to talk about, I forgot. That's ADHD for ya! Anyway, keep coming back... it gets better! I hope to soon be proud of my web presence and be able to refer it to more than just friends and acquaintances that won't judge me too harshly. :)
